High Purity and Ultrapure Systems
High performance water purification systemsSince 1995, RODI Systems has been providing high performance water purification systems utilizing state-of-the-art technologies.
Our High Purity Water (HPW) and Ultrapure Water (UPW) systems are available as containerized systems (PureBox™) or as modular skid-mounted systems (PureFlex™). Our high purity systems represent RODI’s namesake as they utilize reverse osmosis (RO) followed by deionization (DI). |
This combination of technologies proved to be an economical approach to high purity treatment decades ago and still leads as the go-to approach for high purity treatment in most applications.
RODI takes the RO/DI approach a step further with modern technology. Membrane filtration technologies (including ceramic membranes) allow our systems to treat feed waters that are typically considered unsuitable as a source of high purity water. This is especially important in more remote parts of the world.
We use continuous electrodeionization (EDI) as the ion exchange process in our systems. Unlike conventional ion exchange, EDI uses electricity to continuously regenerate the ion exchange resin and eliminates the use of hazardous acid and caustic necessary for regenerating conventional ion exchange systems. Any of our HPW or UPW systems can be equipped with remote monitoring capabilities which allows us to monitor the performance of the entire system, provide guidance on operation, and predict upcoming maintenance issues. Features
RODI has provided HPW/UPW systems ranging in size from 5 to 500 gpm. We take pride in our ability to be responsive, flexible and to provide our customers with an HPW/UPW system that precisely fits their needs.
Here are some other features and advantages of our HPW systems: Containerized or ModularRODI’s HPW/UPW systems can be furnished as containerized systems (our PureBox™ line) or as skid-mounted modular systems (our PureFlex™ line). Either way, the systems are easy to transport and install with a minimum of work on site.
Cost-Effective Yet DependableRODI strives to provide its customers with the lowest total cost of ownership without sacrificing quality. We do this by using well-proven components from trusted vendors and by maintaining strict control on overhead costs. Every day we apply over a quarter century of experience to produce a high-quality product at a competitive cost.
Low Power ConsumptionPower cost is a major expense item in water treatment system operation. RODI’s HPW systems are designed to be as energy efficient as possible. We accomplish this by using high efficiency pumps and motors, variable frequency drives on all primary pumps, and by selecting the most energy efficient membrane types for the specific treatment application.
Easy to OperateAlthough our HPW/UPW systems are high performance water treatment systems, proper operation can be accomplished by typical industrial plant operators. Our automatic control systems, remote monitoring capabilities, and on-site training ensure that our customer’s personnel are fully capable of operating our HPW plants safely and efficiently.
Minimal Chemical RequirementsRODI’s HPW/UPW systems are capable of operating with a minimum (if any) chemicals required thus improving on safety and reducing the liability of having hazardous chemicals on site. Our use of CEDI eliminates the need for hazardous ion exchange regeneration chemicals and the problems resulting from the disposal of spent regenerant. Typical chemical requirements for operation of our systems include a non-hazardous scale inhibitor to prevent RO membrane fouling and a small amount of diluted sodium hydroxide for interstage RO pH adjustment.
