RODI Systems knows that pretreatment is critical to the operation of Reverse Osmosis (RO) Water Treatment Systems.  This is because silt (suspended fine particles) can foul (plug up) RO membranes.  Unfortunately, without monitoring, fouling is not generally noticed until it's too late, causing expensive downtime for cleaning, or worse yet, membrane replacement. To help prevent problems and keep your RO system running at its optimum level, RODI has designed and manufactured automated monitoring devices that will consistently measure the Silt Density Index (SDI) of the water being fed into your RO system.  With the EZ SDI™, operators can quickly and regularly check the effectiveness of the RO pretreatment system without bothering with labor-intensive manual tests. The EZ SDI™ is microprocessor-controlled, housed in a NEMA 4X enclosure, and designed for permanent installation in industrial environments.

EZ SDI™ 4

The EZ SDI™ 4 is an automated system designed to perform a standard Silt Density Index Test (according to ASTM D4189-07). Information is displayed on a backlit liquid crystal and LED display. Functions and controls are operated through switches on the membrane keypad.
  • Perform four separate tests before replacing the filters
  • Tests may be activated manually from a keypad, at time intervals, or by an external trigger (dry contact)
  • Stores details from the 64 most recent tests

EZ SDI™ 1

The EZ SDI™ 1 is an automated system designed to perform a standard SDI Test (according to ASTM D4189-07). It is easy to install, easy to operate, and sells for a fraction of the cost of other automatic SDI testing equipment. Replacing the media is a two-minute process and the test is initiated with the press of a button. 
  • Fully automatic system designed for permanent installation
  • Uses standard 25mm test filters
  • Filter replacement only takes about 2 minutes

EZ SDI™ ACCESSORIES

RODI Systems offers two important accessories for the EZ SDI™ series of automatic SDI monitors.
  • The Sample Sequencer is used with the EZ SDI-4™ ​and allows each test to be taken from a different sample point in the pretreatment system. It is housed in a non-metallic enclosure and includes a booster pump and cable to interface with the SDI unit.
  • The Booster Pump assembly may be used with either the EZ SDI-1™ or EZ SDI-4™ to boost the required sample pressure. It is housed in a non-metallic enclosure and includes an interface cable to work with the EZ SDI™.
