HIGH PERFORMANCE WATER TREATMENT

Projects by RODI Systems

Jump to INTERNATIONAL PROJECTS

RODI's Projects in the  USA Include:

CAJUN CONTROLS, LLC

Port Arthur, Texas, USA
The project entailed the design and construction of a mobile reverse osmosis desalination plant capable of producing 2,000,000 gallons per day of permeate. The system is comprised of four separate trains housed in a 40 ft. intermodal shipping container. It is used to feed boilers in a petroleum refinery.

SEAWORLD OF FLORIDA

Orlando, Florida, USA
The project entailed the design and construction of a mobile reverse osmosis desalination plant
capable of producing 30,000 gallons per day of permeate. This system is used to maintain the salinity of aquatic mammal habitats. The system is mounted inside a 28 foot cargo trailer. It is totally self-contained and equipped with air conditioning to prolong the component life in a hot, humid environment. The system operates from a single 460 volt AC power source.

CONFIDENTIAL

California, USA
The project entailed the design and construction of a containerized desalination pilot plant. The
system included media filtration, ultrafiltration, and reverse osmosis. The reverse osmosis component of the plant was divided into two trains to allow greater flexibility in the use of the plant (i.e., side by side comparison of different membrane elements). The system is totally contained in a 40 foot intermodal shipping container. Efficient use of the space inside the
container was critical due to the complexity of the treatment system.

NORTH AMERICAN NATURAL GAS PRODUCTION COMPANY

Western Colorado, USA
The project entailed the design and construction of a modular reverse osmosis desalination plant capable of treating 15,000 barrels per day (630,000 gallons per day) of produced water (20,000 ppm TDS). Treated water will be discharged under an NPDES permit. The modular system was built inside of six 53 ft intermodal shipping containers. The entire system was designed and installed in less than eight months after receipt of the customer’s order.

STEPHEN ROSS WINERY

San Luis Obispo, California, USA
The winery was being surcharged for high strength waste being discharged to the SLO waste treatment system. This self-contained membrane bioreactor (MBR) waste treatment system allowed the winery to continue to discharge to the public system at a greatly reduced strength.  The system is mounted inside a 20 foot intermodal shipping container. This allows the system to be delivered complete with a minimum of site preparation. In this application, the system was simply located outside the winery and installed with no disruption to the winery's production schedule.

SEPTIC SERVICE COMPANY

Colorado, USA
The project entailed the design and construction of a containerized membrane bioreactor (MBR) capable of treating 2500 gallons per day of domestic sewage from remote construction work camps. The self-contained system allows it to be easily moved as the camps are relocated during progress of the construction project. The containerized system yielded significant cost savings over hauling sewage to a central facility. The system is mounted inside a 20 foot intermodal shipping container. It is totally self-contained and equipped with a heater to accommodate the cold winter climate of Colorado.

BASIN WASTEWATER SOLUTIONS

North Dakota, USA
The project entailed the design, fabrication, and commissioning of multiple containerized membrane bioreactor systems for the treatment of sewage from portable toilet facilities at remote oil and gas drilling sites. Nominal output is 3,000 gallons per day. The systems are totally contained in 20 foot intermodal shipping containers with all components mounted inside. Portability of the systems allows them to be easily moved when the associated drilling equipment is moved to a new well site.

BROWN SHEEP COMPANY

Nebraska, USA
The project entailed the design and construction of a skid-mounted integrated waste treatment
system for the treatment of waste water from a woolen yarn dyeing operation. The waste is high in color, suspended solids, organics, and dissolved inorganic salts. It is also treated at an elevated temperature (120° F).  Tubular ultrafiltration (UF) is used for the first stage of treatment followed by a primary reverse osmosis (RO) unit. A secondary RO unit is used to further concentrate the reject from the primary RO unit thus increasing overall recovery. The RO permeate is used for boiler makeup thus saving the facility a significant amount of money in energy cost.

RODI's International Projects include:

PHU BAI MINIING, LTD.

Laos
The project entailed the design, fabrication and commissioning of a containerized microfiltration system to purify surface water in order to provide potable water to a mining camp of 1,000 workers. This includes membrane microfiltration and chemical disinfection with a nominal output of 80,000 gallons per day.

PETROLEUM DRILLING COMPANY

Morocco and Turkey
The project entailed the design and construction of four containerized desalination plants to provide drinking water to remote oil and gas well drilling locations.  Each system included media filtration, ultrafiltration, reverse osmosis, UV sterilization, and chemical disinfection.

GOVERNMENT RESEARCH LABORATORY

Libya
This containerized system served as part of a pilot system used to test various pretreatment methods for desalination of Mediterranean seawater with reverse osmosis. This particular container houses two separate RO pilot systems. The overall project included two other containers; one housing a media filtration pretreatment system, and the other housing an ultrafiltration system.
